<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-75" title="Polaroid-ish image created with Instantizer" src="http://www.daryldurken.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/polaroid-instantizer-253x300.jpg" alt="" width="253" height="300" /></p>
<p>Polaroid fans have been campaigning to save it &#8211; the film &#8211; not the company. <a href="http://www.savepolaroid.com/history">Save Polaroid.com</a> is just one of several websites devoted to trying to save the Polaroid film. With it&#8217;s white-border the Polaroid instant film has been an important element of popular culture for decades.</p>
<p>At least we will be able to convert our photos into Polaroid-style images using utilities like <a href="http://www.instantizer.com/">instantizer.com</a>.</p>
