According to Crave UK, an Asus exec has confirmed that they are helping Apple build a tablet PC. Crave’s source alleges that an Apple Tablet is in development and will not be based upon current Asus technology but instead based on Apple design. In May 2005 Apple was granted a patent for a tablet-style electronic device.
I would imagine that an Apple Tablet PC will run on a slimmed down version of Leopard featuring the Cover Flow finder (similar to what we have seen in the iPhone and iTouch). It wouldn’t surprise me to see this new device shun the “stylus” and instead use the multi-touch technology.
Two guys in Tampa Florida created iPhone costumes for Halloween. Each costume weighs around 60 lbs. and features a video clip running from a video iPod onto an LCD TV.
The Boston Red Sox beat the Colorado Rockies in four straight games to win their second World Series in the last four years. With a swinging strike on a Papelbon pitch the Rockies took their last swing of the season. The Red Sox dominated in all four games against the Rockies. In game four the Red Sox won the World Series title on a 4-3 win over the Rockies.
After waiting 86 years for a World Series win the Red Sox have now won two championships in the last four years. Congratulations!
Six years ago Apple Computer released their first iPod and began the digital media player revolution. Since its release the iPod has become a cultural phenomenon and has morphed into the an entire line of digital media players including the iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Classic and iPod Touch. Today the iPod commands a huge market lead with over 85% of the market cornered. In the last quarter Apple shipped over 10 million iPods.
When the iPod was introduced it could only hold 1,000 songs in a device that would easily fit into your pocket. The first player worked only with Mac’s and held the songs on a “super-thin” 5 GB hard drive. Today the iPod easily connects with both Macs and PCs and the 160 GB hard drive based “Classic” iPod can hold up to 40,000 songs. It sells for only $349. Or, $50 less than the original iPod.
The Red Sox completed their dramatic comeback from 3-1 to win Game 7 in the ACLS and advance to the World Series. Off to an early start for the third game in a row the Red Sox showed their determination to win.
The Sox held the Indians off all night before dominating in the seventh, eighth and ninth. The Red Sox will host the Colorado Rockies at Fenway on Wednesday night. Congratulations and Good Luck.

The :-) smiley emoticon celebrated its silver anniversary on Sept. 19th. Twenty five years ago Carnegie Mellon University Computer Science Research Professor Scott E. Fahlman strung together a colon, hyphen and parenthesis creating an internet revolution. Fahlman created the smiley as a way to indicate a humorous or sarcastic bboard post. Various “joke markers†were suggested. Fahlman’s suggested :-) at 11:44 a.m. on Sept. 19th 1982 and the rest is history.

In response to this video and similar videos AT&T recently sent a text message to all iPhone users stating that “We are simplifying your paper bill, removing itemized detail. To view all detail, go to att.com/mywireless. Still need full paper bill? Call 611.”. And they will surely save a few trees too!
